Performing a Backup
esiLaw 360 Cloud performs automatic backups daily at 4 pm PST. But you should also perform a manual backup before updating to ensure no data will be lost. This is how you perform a manual data backup if your database is not on esiLaw 360 Cloud.
Steps
- Log in to esiLaw 360
- Click on Maintenance > Backup and Restore
- In the Backup & Restore window, click on Backup Now
TIPS
- Navigate to the file location of your backup via Windows File Explorer and copy your backup file to an external USB Drive for safe storage.
Taking Note of Your Activation Key
When esiLaw 360 performs an update, you may be prompted to re-enter your activation key when signing back in for the first time. We will go over the easiest way to access your activation key.
Steps
- Open your browser and go to the following website https://myaccount.esilaw.com/
- Log in with the email and password you used to set up your esiLaw 360 account
- If you have forgotten your password, follow the reset password prompts
- Once logged in, you will be brought to your Account Center homepage; click Manage by My Licenses
TIPS
- Copy your activation key and save it to a document or email it to yourself for safekeeping. That way, you can find it much easier if prompted in the future!
Getting a List of Your esiLaw 360 Usernames
When esiLaw 360 updates, it may clear out your saved login information. We will walk you through checking your list of esiLaw 360 users and get a list of usernames to save.
Steps
- Log in to esiLaw 360
- Click on Maintenance > User Accounts
- This will bring up the User Accounts window and list all usernames accessing esiLaw 360
TIPS
- Make a note of all usernames and keep a list somewhere for quick reference. Make this a task for the office Admin in case anyone forgets their esiLaw username.
Checking if You Are on the Latest Version of esiLaw 360
Once you have done all the above steps, you should check to see if you are on the latest version of esiLaw 360. These are the steps on how to do this.
Steps
- Log in to esiLaw 360
- Click on Help > About ESILAW
- In this window, it will show you the version you are running of esiLaw 360
- Open a browser and go to https://install.esilaw.com/. On this page, it will show what the current version of esiLaw 360 is. If the versions do not match, run an update.
TIPS
- Always make sure you are on the latest version of esiLaw 360. Any issues you are running into may be resolved in the current version and you may be missing out on critical features!
