How to reverse a bill


  1. Click on Clients and Matters and select a client.
  2. Click on Bills and Payments.
  3. Select a bill you want to reverse.
  4. Make sure that the status of a bill is unpaid.
  5. Right click on the bill > Reverse.
  6. Select an appropriate date of reversal.
  7. Enter the reason of reversal in the Memo field.
  8. Click on Reverse.


  • A bill can be reversed only if it is not paid.
  • After a bill is reversed and the status of time and fees and disbursements related to that bill will be changed to unbilled.
