This report is used to display total billings, receipts, bill write-offs and the percent of billings that have been collected. You can extract the report by responsible, originating, assigned, working lawyer or for the firm. Invoices are selected based on the date range specified, and are selected by bill number. Interest transactions are not included but tax is included. Transactions are included for both open and closed client files. This report calculates a collection realization total for each lawyer by dividing the lawyer’s payment total by the billing total.
If you extract the report by responsible, originating or assigned lawyer or for the firm, all invoices with the same bill number for the client file, regardless of transaction date, are included. This ensures that invoice adjustments such as reversals outside the report date range are also included.
If you extract the report by working lawyer, all invoices with the same bill number for the client file, regardless of transaction date but that were distributed to the working lawyer, are included.
Receipts and write-offs are selected in a similar manner. If an invoice is selected to be included based on the above rules, then receipts and write-offs with the same bill number for the same client file are also included. If you extract the report by responsible, originating or assigned lawyer or for the firm, all receipts and write-offs with the same bill number for the client file are included. If you extract the report by working lawyer, all receipts and write-offs with the same bill number for the client file are included.
The report displays totals by responsible lawyer, working lawyer and area of law.
Steps :
- Click on Reports and select Collection Realization by Billings.
- Enter transactions from and to dates to select invoices to include on the report.
- Filter the report by responsible, originating, assigned or working lawyer, or for the firm. Default selection is by firm.
- You can also filter the report by lawyer, select the lawyer number range to include.
- Select the range of type of law to include. Default selection is all type of law.
- Select group inactive lawyers / timekeepers to print totals for all inactive lawyers on one line on the summary report.
- Click on view to display the report on your screen or click on print to send it to your printer.
Tips :
- Select memorize to add the report with the current options to the memorized reports. Report can only be added once to the memorized report group.
