Today, we are thrilled to share some exciting news with you – the launch of Unity® Accounting on December 9, 2023.

Formerly known as esiLaw, Unity® Accounting is a new chapter in our journey to building a comprehensive solution for your legal practice. Rest assured, all the features you rely on in esiLaw are still here, now under the Unity® Accounting brand.

This rebranding is not just about a name change; it represents our dedication to evolving and meeting the dynamic needs of your legal practice. In the near future, Unity® Accounting is set to undergo a transformation to seamlessly sync with Unity® Practice Management. This evolution represents a significant step forward, as it combines the robust capabilities of accounting with the efficiency of practice management. Our goal is to provide you with a unified and seamless experience, ensuring that managing your legal practice is more streamlined and comprehensive than ever before.

In time, Unity® Accounting will be included as a module directly within the broader Unity® Practice Management platform, making it easier for you to do everything you need from client intake to invoicing, all from a single destination!

To perform this update, esiLaw (Unity® Accounting) will be unavailable on Friday, December 8, from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm PST.

Update Process:

  1. Prepare for the update by following the instructions found here: Preparing for an update
  2. Once you receive the notification asking you to update to the latest version (Unity® Accounting 5.2.7), click on ‘update’.  If you skip the prompt or don’t get one, you can manually download the latest version.
  3. Please subscribe to the System Status Page for notices related to maintenance and availability: status.io.
